Sage Ridge School Alumni Association
Mission Statement:
The mission of the alumni association is to (a) facilitate communications between alumni and Sage Ridge School and (b) to promote/support the mission of Sage Ridge School.
Goal and Objective:
The goal of the SRS alumni association is to expand the Sage Ridge School Alumni community by creating a network of former students that will continue to uphold the values learned at SRS and apply them out in the real world. The objective is to keep communication open and allow the alumni to return and be a part of Sage Ridge after they have graduated.
Board, executive committee, and officers:
The alumni association board consists of four executive members and a representative officer from each graduate class. The executive committee includes the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The officers are chosen representatives selected by their class to stand as the graduate class’ voice.
Procedure:
Every two years, new members are of the Executive Committee are elected on the basis of vote per graduate. Elections are held in December, the final votes being cast at the annual alumni tea. The next election will take place in December 2010.
Membership:
The alumni association is composed SRS graduates. The members are placed in two categories: active and regular members. Active members are those who participate in the alumni association either through being an officer/executive, replying to contact from the alumni association coordinator, or attending alumni association events. Regular members are those graduates who received diplomas from the school but who do not communicate with the alumni association coordinator and/or do not attend events.
Meetings:
Meetings of the alumni association take place twice yearly: once in December at the annual alumni tea and once in the summer at the alumni barbeque.
Amendment:
An amendment to the constitution may occur if a motion is passed by two thirds vote by the alumni association board. The constitution can then be amended by the executive members.
