Affording Sage Ridge School
Each year Sage Ridge School’s Board of Trustees designates 9% of the School’s overall revenue budget to be used for financial aid purposes. The goal is to ensure that a Sage Ridge education is available to all qualified students regardless of their parents’ financial resources.
The Financial Aid Committee attempts to distribute awards based on a family’s income tax information and the recommendation of Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST). It is therefore imperative that all deadlines for financial aid information including a copy of the preceding year's Federal Tax Return are met according to the stated time line. Failure to do so may result in loss of opportunity to obtain financial assistance. Each applicant is evaluated on the basis of:
- Available funds
- Student’s academic performance and behavior
- Information provided to FAST
- Recommendation from Sage Ridge School Financial Aid Committee
Questions regarding financial assistance should be directed to Carol Murphy, Director of Admissions. Phone: 775-852-6222, ext. 503.
All Financial Aid Information is Strictly Confidential
Admission decisions and financial aid awards are separate transactions
Important Notes:
- Sage Ridge School uses FAST by Independent School Management to help determine need.
- Parents must complete a financial aid application annually.
- In addition to the financial aid application, copies of the respective year’s IRS 1040 form must also be sent to FAST to accompany the application.
- Please refer to the current financial aid timeline for important dates and deadlines.
Once financial aid is awarded, it is the School’s intent to provide assistance through graduation provided the student remains in good standing and the family continues to meet financial need criteria.
